In any time Kyrgyz people used to say "Horse is man's wings" In spite of time passing, horses still plays a vital role in the life of nomads. There is no chanse to survive without a horse in this mountainous country. In this tour you will follow the ancient nomads along the Great Silk Road. At the same time you will explore traditions, the national drinks and food which still cooked by the old recipes.

Tour summary:

Day 1: Bishkek - Issyk Kul Lake

After your guide meet you at Manas Airport you will be taken to Bishkek City (30 min. drive). There you will have breakfast and start transfer (200 km) to the glittering pearl of Central Asia - Issyk Kul Lake (1608m.above sea level). At the road, we will have a lunch and visit to the Burana Tower (famous minaret of 11 century) and "Cemetery of Balbans" (stone warriors). After you arrive to Hotel you will have unforgettable rest on the northern beach of the lake where you can enjoy warm and pure water which is salty and possesses healing qualities. Your dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

Day 2: Issyk-Kul Lake - Karakol

You start the day with breakfast and then you will have time to relax on the warm beach enjoying crystal pure water. Afterwards, transfer to Karakol city by car (200 km) visiting pethroglifs (the stone depictions (dating back to 800 B.C.). At 1 o'clock you will have a second stop during the trip to have lunch, and then keep moving to Karakol city along the northern shore of the Issyk Kul lake. There you will have a one hour cruise on a steam boat. National dinner will be in a restaurant in Karakol at 8 p.m. Also for additional price you can have a folklore show there. Night is in a Guesthouse.

Day 3: Karakol - Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley

The morning is dedicated to a guided Karakol City Tour. After breakfast you visit the Dungan mosque made in Chinese style, very beautiful wooden Orthodox Church and museum of M.V. Prejvalsky at the high shore of Issyk Kul Lake. After traditional lunch we leave Karakol at around 1 p.m. and transfer to Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley (70 km). On the way, you will see variously formed red mountains and have a chance to take a bath in the mineral sources of hot springs at Jeli Suu ( Dungan Village). From there you start 1 hour of horseback riding tour to the old geophysics station of Chong Kyzyl Suu. Dinner and overnight stay will be in yurts Kyrgyz original nomadic dwelling, made of wooden frame and covered by thick layer of felt. This dwelling is very comfortable and easy to be transported, what is very important for nomads.

Day 4: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Ashu Tor - Chong Kyzyl Suu (6h)

After a strengthening breakfast at 9 am, we will start the rising to the Ashu Tor pass (2800m). There you will have lunch before start hike on horses to a glittering alpine lake. The altitude allows seeing mountain goats there. After exploring of the mountain lake we will come back to the station. Dinner is served at 8 p.m. This night you will spend in yurts again.

Day 5: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Kishi Kyzyl Suu

Early in the morning we start riding to the colorful valley of Kishi Kyzyl Suu (6h). Lunch will be organized on the way along a gorgeous canyon where you will not be able to stay indifferent. We will arrive to the Kishi Kyzyl village at 7 p.m. there we will have dinner and night in tents.

Day 6: Kishi Kyzyl Suu village - Jumakuchak

After breakfast we start moving toward Jumakuchak. There is 6 hours of riding across small Jumalai pass and along the amazing landscapes. We will have a picnic there on the pass with an astonishing view of the flaring surface of Issyk-Kul Lake. Overnight is in Jumakuchak in tents between nomadic yurts of Kyrgyz a person. Traditional dinner is served at 7 p.m.

Day 7: Jumakuchak - Kok Terek village

The day starts with a nice hot breakfast at 8 am, and after that we start riding from Jumakuchak to Kok Terek Village (6h). The way runs across the unique cave in red rocks that is called "500 rams"; we will stop for a lunch at the bottom of the sparkling mountain waterfall. This waterfall is situated very close to hot sources (40 degrees Celsius) that are also possible to visit if you wish. Afterwards, we continue our way to Kok Terek village. Our dinner and overnight will be in a home stay.

Day 8: Kok Terek - Bishkek

After you pack your backpacks, and finish your breakfast we drive to Bishkek city along the southern shore of the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake (380 km). You will arrive to Bishkek at around 5 pm, after accommodation in a Hotel **** you will have a farewell dinner in a restaurant at 7 pm.

Day 9: Bishkek - Europe

After breakfast we start our Bishkek city tour that includes the central Ala-Too Square, Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others highlights. At 2 p.m. you will have lunch and according your tickets details you will be picked up and transferred from the hotel to Airport.
